Music
In our well equipped music suite there are a number of instruments for hire and students can have free lessons in the following:

• violin
• viola
• cello
• double bass
• flute
• clarinet
• oboe
• bassoon
• saxophone
• all brass instruments
• guitar
• bass guitar
• Piano        (Extra course fees)
• Drums       (Extra course fees)
• Vocal        (Extra course fees)

Students have the opportunity to progress to the school orchestra and jazz band. Students may also belong to the choir or smaller vocal ensemble (ie: Barbershop), and string groups, rock bands who perform at both school and public functions.

Drama and Theatresports
The school auditorium has been constructed in order to provide an excellent facility for music, dance and drama productions. Since the completion of the building in May 1988 drama has flourished in the school.

Normally two stage productions are planned each year Past productions include:

• Man of La Mancha

Junior as well as senior students are involved in the productions.

Speech
The school prepares students to sit the New Zealand Speech Board examinations.
