All students coming to New Zealand to study at Mountainview need some medical insurance. The parents or the students can arrange this in their own country but they must bring documents to New Zealand to show the details of this insurance.
The school can arrange medical insurance for the students. We do this through a company called Unicare. It means that the student then pays for any small medical needs and then claims the money back through the school.
This insurance also covers against loss or damage to expensive personal items that the student may have. It is important that the students have a record of purchase of these items and that they specify this item on their insurance application.
More details of the medical insurance can be seen on the Unicare website
