Environment

Mountainview High school boasts a fabulous environment which is the envy of other schools in Canterbury.

Aptly named for the fantastic views of the Southern Alps, the campus is set on 11.5 hectares of expansive land. Most rooms have views of the mountains or the sea. Coupled with this outstanding location, the grounds of the campus are dotted with mature trees and colourful gardens which provide a wonderful environment for the students and staff.

The school is also well resourced with the latest technology, serviced by a fibre optic data network which reaches every classroom, teaching space and office.

The excellent facilities of the school are enhanced by a farmlet of 2.5 hectares which supports the teaching of the Agricultural Sciences in the curriculum.
