Dear Parents / Caregivers,
No doubt you will all be aware in the media that there has been an outbreak of a new strain of virus in China called the Coronavirus.
This is a new virus and it appears that you can have the virus at an early stage and not show any symptoms. The incubation period is considered to be 14 days.
Children are currently returning to school and the health of students and staff is a priority.
Anyone who is not well should not be at school. We request that any students who have recently been to China or have been in close contact with someone confirmed with the virus, for that student to remain at home for two weeks (14 days) from the arrival date back in New Zealand
We ask that parents / caregivers call the student office to inform us of any student who will be absent due to having been in China or having had contact with someone confirmed with the virus.
If you have a concern about your child we encourage you to contact
Healthline at 0800611116 or your GP for medical advice.

Healthline has interpreters available 24/7 in 150 languages..
This is a developing situation and we will keep you informed as direction comes to hand.
We thank you for your support and understanding.

Kind regards

Liz Peters
